If you did not unplug the wire by the distributor, which you said you didnt. It is not in time and will cause this problem. Unplug the wire and retime it.

the burban is fixed, he went to a local shop and they fixed it for $250. it runs good now but it could need alittle more power. so headers will add some power. so he is shopping for some. we went offroading it went find up hills but through some woops it couldnt handle it, so the left rear shock bottom out and bent the upper bracket and the shock snaped and the right side put a 1in crack underneith where the shock bolts on to the frame. he needs lower bump stops.

That's the way you figure out what will break next.

it was a rough ride, we were going almost 40 and i new we were breaking something. but the suspension is softer than mine, it would have been worst if i was driving my blazer. i want to build a 2wd desert machine next.

Long travel suspension and in the desert, its huge fun. In the mud it would suck.

well having something thats 4x4 going threw mud and going up hill and threw rocks are just as fun as going 80 in a prerunner. i would like to have two trucks, one 4x4 and the other for the desert 2wd. i live in a desert on the west coast, so thats very common around here. i want something noone has built yet. I want to build a 67-72 prerunner, like vic hickes one. but up to date. longtraveled and a shortbed, with front and rear coilovers.

At higher speeds in desert running, 4wd is just more stuff to break. A 2wd with a locker and the right tires will go just about anywhere in sand.

That sounds about right. I've been beating this thing up for years.
