Default Unanswered: looking for lift kit info

Login or Register to hide ads.
I just recently purchased a Toyota Tacoma and am considering putting some type of lift kit/system on the truck. I like working on cars and am kind of interested in trying to do it myself. I am having trouble finding good stuff online on how to do it. I have a friend who is a very good mechanic but is not to versed in lifting trucks. He is going to help me but I want to know about everything were doing. I found some good articles like this one but want to make sure I study everything.

Does anyone know the best place to go to learn about lifting trucks. Anything you can think of. I really want to find some good information to make sure I get this right. My new truck is my baby. Thanks for all the help.

Ray

Probably something specific for the vehicle your working on would be best. Couple I dug up.

Talk to these guys, Home - Toytec Lifts: Toyota Lift Kits: FJ Cruiser Lift Kits, Tacoma Lift Kits, Tundra Lift Kits, 4 Runner Lift Kits, Sequoia Lift Kits, Toyota Truck Lift Kits

I've personally installed some of their products and it is very nice stuff. Not the cheapest stuff but at least a very good product for the money.
If your friend doesn't have the right equipment to take apart the front struts you can always buy the complete replacement strut/lift coil asy.
The instructions that come with their kits is pretty easy to follow and any decent mechanic should be able to follow them even if they've never done this sort of stuff before.
