You need the vacuum line. Try that first. It sounds like the tranny is going out.

I put an anti-wrap bar on the front too... the front springs were wrapping too. you can see a bit of wheel hop in the front in the 4wd run. I got all my tow points done. two swivels in the rear and 2 lugs in the front. I have a mudbog to go to nSaturday & Sunday at Moricetown. I'm on vacation again. I have my work cut out for me!

"YouTube - July 23 testing"

This looked promising but today the tranny gave up. It is particularly sad for me because the mudbog is tomorrow. It does go in forward but does not shift up. I can not pull this off with one gear. So I need a TH400 from a 78-79 chevy 1 ton 4WD with a np203... none local I phoned the yards...

You might ask on Pirate or CK5 and see if you find anyone close with that setup. I know Mountainexplorer (CK5) has a ton of K-series trucks but IIRC he's down in Washington somewhere.

Well I got my transmission rebuild book, so I tore down my old tranny.

This was a good tranny that I had to pull apart to change the output shaft. I put it all together and it barely worked.

Now the symptoms from that one was:
Went well in reverse but barely moved forward. I had to really rev it to get it to move at all.

I researched online and the symptoms pointed to the sprag put in backwards. I tore it down today and it was installed correctly.

So now I have it apart on my bench deciding on my next move.
-I'll research a bit more and maybe find a solution
-Get a rebuild kit and start over
-send it off to a tranny shop and get them to do it
-?

If any tranny experts want to chime in I would appreciate it. I am sure it isn't the pump as it went great in reverse.
