OK kids, we're doing Coal Canyon over Memorial Day. Click here for trail details. Should be fairly easy from what I remember. It's not unusual for it hit 100 on Memorial Day weekend here so be prepared with sunscreen and lots of water!

Won't it be cooler than that up there where Coal Canyon is? I had the impression it was at a higher elevation.

Yeah, it should be cooler. We rode the mesa one weekend in May and the temps were comfortably cool until we hit Palisade then it started roasting.

There are plenty of places to shoot right their along the Interstate coming into Grand Junction right before where we exited. I always see people out there shooting.

We plan to stay in Delta, so I'll bet the Leanintree's might put you up.

Why don't you bring Gerri with you? She's welcome too ya know... Then she wouldn't think you were cheating on the DQ with some other truck... :respect:

BTW-you can go shoot in the desert north of Clifton off 33 Road if you don't get to it in Gunni...

Gerri said maybe but it depends on what's happening with work. She says she'd like to go out and meet everybody.

I'll know once we are a few weeks out.
