4x4 Mecca Media Center is a system for inserting videos from all over the web directly into posts.
How do I use it?
Using the Media Center is simple, just paste the link to your favorite videos from Google Video, YouTube, MetaCafe, Myspace, Bolt, Ifilm, StreetFire, and any WMV file on another server.
For example, say you wanted to embed this video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-824154707726666929 video on google video. All you would have to do is copy the entire contents of the address bar and paste them into your post.
What if I want to automatically embed videos from other sites?
I can make most websites videos embed into the posts, there are a few popular sites who make it difficult to automatically embed their videos. For example photobucket videos are almost impossible to make work.
Does this slow 4x4 Mecca down because of all the videos loading?
No, the videos are still being loaded from their host site, and this takes no server speed away from 4x4 Mecca.
Watch the video to learn how to attach images to your post. You will learn how to upload them from your computer, and how to copy ones you see on the internet.
Attached images are resized smaller, and if you click on them they open up to fit your screen. You can then click the right and left arrows to navigate the attached images, or see the attached image full size.
Linked Images
Linked images with the [img] tag are resized to fit on all screens. You can click the image to view it's original size.
This allows other users to see the specs, links, and a picture of your rig in a dropdown in your signature. This is extremely helpful for tech questions so they know exactly what you have.
If for some reason you are on a smaller monitor and don't want to see the banner of trucks along the top, you can turn them off by clicking here and scrolling to the bottom.
